Authors who publish with the Journal of Critical Realism in Socio-Economics (JOCRISE) retain copyright of their work and grant the journal right of first publication. Upon acceptance, authors agree to the following terms:
- Authors retain copyright and grant JOCRISE the right of first publication, with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).
- Under this license, anyone is free to share (copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format) and adapt (remix, transform, and build upon the material) for any purpose, including commercially, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and source, a link to the license is provided, indication of changes is noted, and any derivative work is distributed under the same license terms (ShareAlike).
- Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., posting it to an institutional repository or publishing it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in JOCRISE and a link to the published article's DOI.
- Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their personal website) prior to and during the submission process, as this can lead to productive exchanges as well as earlier and greater citation of published work, consistent with the journal's Statement on Open Access.
- All published articles are permanently and freely accessible in full text without embargo, in accordance with JOCRISE's commitment to open access and its Archiving and Preservation Policy via the PKP Preservation Network (LOCKSS).
- This Copyright Notice applies uniformly across all JOCRISE platforms and publications; any prior statement referencing a different Creative Commons license (including any Non-Commercial or No-Derivatives variant) is superseded by this notice and should be disregarded.
